Allowed Joint Movements - Synarthroses, Amphiarthroses & Diarthroses

Synarthroses is an immovable joint. Amphiarthroses is slightly movable. Diarthroses is freely movable. The best way I found to remember the order of these is "SAD," which is the first letter of each in order from the least allowed movement to the most. To remember what Synarthroses means it's helpful to think "No movement would be a Sin(Syn)."

The point of this Blog

The point of this Blog is to pass on the things I have learned to help others get through their A&P courses. I know this stuff is not easy to remember and I have picked up a few tricks along the way. I also want to keep it all fresh and not forget the things I have learned. A&P is an interesting study and I have enjoyed learning more about how our bodies work. I wish all of you luck on your journey through this fascinating world!
